Old-Fashioned Flowers

Hello everyone!  Happy Tuesday to you.
I know this may come as a shock, but I bought more flowers last week and thought I’d take a few photos so we could revel in their prettiness together.  Once again, the Stock was calling my name and I gave in to their charms.  I have to tell you, they smell just as wonderful as they look.  I really can’t believe it took me so long to discover them.
For some reason, this bunch seems so much fuller and fluffier than the last one that I got…maybe it’s a different variety.  I paired them with some chamomile blossoms.  Remember? I showed you those last time.  I think the mix has an old-fashioned quality.  I like the little bit of messiness…as if it was plucked straight from the garden and arranged on a moment’s notice.

Along with the ironstone pitchers, I added a skeleton key and an old postcard to give things a little more vintage charm.  And, since it is Texture Tuesday, I layered on one of Kim Klassen’s textures…yesteryear.  Which I thought was quite fitting for my photos 🙂
Well, that’s that!  Oh, just a FYI…I’ll be back tomorrow for a little announcement.  So until then…
Tricia ♥

The double stock is so sweet and combines so well with the white china.
Mine isn't anywhere near showing buds yet. Still, that will be a June treat.

I think I need to have more flowers in the house – ypu've inspired me to go and pick some for our garden. I have a bunch of lilies in the living room that smell so gorgeous – but nothing as dreamily pretty as these.
